Director K S Ravikumar has filed a petition with the Madras High Court claiming that here are no scenes in his movie ÂDasavatharamÂ, which ridicules Vaishnavites and stated that it is a movie that would in turn glorify Hindu Gods.
It may be recalled that the Madras High Court on Tuesday had adjourned the case filed by World Vaishnava Samrakshana Seva Sangham against the Tamil movie ÂDasavatharam to next week.
Govindha Ramanujadasar of the Sangam had filed a case with Madras High Court seeking to remove certain scenes from the movie which would result in a clash between the Vaishnavities and Saivities.
Also the statues of Hindu Gods were shown to be destroyed in the movie, he alleged. The petition came up for hearing before Judges Rajasurya and Sathyanarayana.
However the counsel for the movie's producer Oscar Ravichandran informed the court that they have not received the notices in this regard. As a result of which, the case was adjourned for hearing next week.
ÂDasavatharam features Kamal Haasan in 10 different roles. It is produced by Oscar Ravichandran and directed by K S Ravikumar.
